Odisha Civil Service preliminary examination which was earlier scheduled on May, is now rescheduled to be conducted on 27th August 2021. The wait, presumptions all are over now the candidates can focus on their studies for the success in the examination. The examination will be conducted in two sittings. First sitting will be from 10 A.M to 12 A.M the questions will be based on general studies and it will carry 200 marks for 100 questions. Second sitting will be from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Second sitting examination is qualifying in nature an it will consists of 80 questions (200 marks) from aptitude, English, communication etc. There is negative marking also which is 25 % of the mark of the question. Physically challenged category candidates will be given extra 40 minutes in both the sittings.

Introduction:   Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder or condition where body cells cannot utilize glucose properly due to insufficient secretion of insulin. Insulin is a hormone produced by Beta cells of pancreas which plays very important role in transport of glucose into the body cells for production of energy in the body.
